This map is a visual representation of variations in the Earth’s magnetic field across the globe, highlighting areas where the magnetic strength deviates significantly from the expected average, often indicating underlying geological features like oceanic ridges, tectonic plate boundaries, and large mineral deposits, primarily compiled through data collected by the “World Digital Magnetic Anomaly Map (WDMAM)” project, a collaborative effort by international scientific organizations like the International Association of Geomagnetism and Aeronomy (IAGA) and the Commission for the Geological Map of the World (CGMW)
